Thouse copper clays are not really available now to buy. So silver is better

Hello. This is great, but I see a problem: the gaps in the smaller washers. Hair might get caught in there. Probably would. i did not see any step to close that small cut. Do you press the circle closed to close the gap? Soldering would be really difficult, and mess up the look. Could a drop of glue be put in the gap, and sanded down to be smooth?

I know this is a year old but in case you come across this video like I have sharing what I’ve experienced; Art Clay Copper works great with a torch for smaller pieces. The other brands I’ve seen disclose kiln only.

Aluminum foil! Brilliant! I've been using floral foam, meticulously "shaving" it to fit inside the cup, poking in realistic looking artificial succulents. I'll try foil "filling" with a layer of foam on top. Thank you 😊

Regarding the "push" type extruder; i took two 2×4s about 21/2 feet long and joined them with a piano hinge. I then drilled a hole to fit the extruder barrel about 8 or 10 inches from the hinge on one of the 2×4s. Place extruder through the hole with the head of the plunger resting on the inside of the other 2×4 then press steadily and firmly on the end of the upper 2×4 and watch the clay come shooting out! Keep in mind that the discs that come with that type are thinner and not as sturdy as say a makins extruder but this is a way to use the cheapo kind if you're stuck with one!😊

I just bought a pair exactly like this and was looking for videos of projects to practice. Agreed, needs to keep in view of the camera. The one I bought was from JTV Jewel School. They call it the Wrap & Tap as you can also hammer your wire while it's on the pliers.
